Grant Instructions

Please make sure you read the below instructions and follow them as you submit your grant application. Failure to follow the instructions may result in your grant not being considered.

Application

As you go through the application and you have questions about how to fill out the form, please refer to the above sample application as a guide.

Electronic

This application must be submitted electronically from this website. Printed, emailed, and/or hand written forms will no longer be accepted.

Pricing

All proposals must be accompanied by some sort of price verification. Acceptable forms of pricing evidence include screen shots of shopping carts, pictures of catalogs, invoices, electronic links, or any digital image that shows both the items requested (all of them, even if it takes multiple images to capture them) and pricing of those items.

Concise

Fill out all required information and be concise in your descriptions and requests. This is not an essay contest and our Directors who vote on these grants may not have educational knowledge so being clear and concise and using basic terms are encouraged.

Funding

Each funding section is independent and should not include duplicates.

The Uintah Schools Foundation does NOT reimburse or pay for shipping.

Internal/External funding: All funds obtained from sources, NOT including what is being requested from the Uintah Schools Foundation. These would include money you are donating, school or district funds being used on the project, community donations to the project.

Grant Request funding: All funds that are being asked to be contributed by the Uintah Schools Foundation. This should NOT include any other funds. This is also the maximum amount that will be granted by the Uintah Schools Foundation.

Budget

The budget summary will be a list of items that you intent to purchase with your grant money along with their corresponding prices. These will be used for the purpose of comparing to your pricing evidence as we evaluate your grant.

Process

1- Initiator gathers all documents and information for grant and prepares to submit online application

2- Initiator communicates with and receives approval from their Principal before submitting the application

3- Initiator submits online application before deadline

4- Initiator will receive an email alert once the application is submitted (check your spam folder)

5- Uintah Schools Foundation will do it's best to reach out and try to fix small issues with application but is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect applications that may be denied

6- Uintah Schools Foundation will contact each Principal for a final approval of all applications

7- Uintah Schools Foundation will vote on the grants during their usual Director's Meetings in October and February

8- Uintah Schools Foundation will notify the Initiator and Principal whether the grant is approved or denied

9- If approved, Uintah Schools Foundation will email award letter and instructions on how to obtain reimbursement for your grant
